I was a little sad to have to cut her hair this early, I thought she would be a year before it was necessary, but every time I saw her long hair in the back I started singing the theme to Ducktales- a-woo-oo!
When she was born she had a lot of hair and it was about an inch and a half long all over. We thought she might lose it, but that didn't happen. She wore a little bald spot in the back from rubbing, but the rest of her hair stayed neatly in tact. Which means over the last five months, that hair just kept getting longer and longer until this little duck tail looked more like a mullet... and we just could have that.
So a couple of weeks ago, I wet a comb and snipped off some of her precious fine baby hair and gave her a new "do".
It's a little hard to see, but you can tell that it is no longer mullet-ish and although I still sing "ducktales, a-woo-oo", it's only habit :)
And I of course saved every last little hair that fell from her sweet little head!
